II. How to Apply:
Applicants who have obtained the Scholarship Funding Certificate issued by Jiangsu ProvincialDepartmentof Education, please submit the application at https://wxit.at0086.cn/StuApplication/Login.aspx (please upload the Scholarship Funding Certificate)
III. Criteria
(I) Showing friendship for China and be in good physical condition.
(II) For applicants whose one or both parents are Chinese citizens and reside in a foreign country, and has foreign nationality at birth, but does not have Chinese nationality, the applicant must hold a foreign passport or nationality certificate valid for no less than 4 years, and has a physical presence record in a foreign country for more than 2 years in the most recent 4 years (before April 30 of the year of admission) (9 months of physical presence in a year can be counted as one year, and the entry and exit stamps shall prevail ).
(III) Applicants study in academic programs should graduate from high school and be over the age of 18 and under the age of 30;
(IV) Recommendation letter fromthe collegeis required.
(V)For applicants apply for Chinese teaching class,theirChinese proficiency must pass HSK level 4
(VI) Applicants must have good performance, no truancy and violations ofcollegediscipline and rules, and no violations of laws and regulations outside thecollege.
(VII) Applicants excel in studies and are among top in their grades or classes.
(VIII) Applicants shall not receive fully funded scholarships such as Chinese government scholarships and Confucius Institute scholarships.
V. Scholarships are divided into three categories:AgreementScholarship,OutstandingStudentScholarship andSpecialScholarship.
AgreementScholarship refersto the scholarships explicitly provided in the friendshipsister-state agreementand other friendly cooperation agreements signed with foreign parties at the provincial level to serve the overall national situation and local economic development needs.
OutstandingStudentScholarship refer to the scholarship for outstanding students selected from thecollege-educated students by thecollegeevery year according to the quota allocated by the provincial educationdepartment.
SpecialScholarship refersto the long-term and short-term project scholarships established by the Provincial EducationDepartmentaccording to the needs of foreign students' educational work.
AgreementScholarship,OutstandingStudentScholarship andSpecialScholarship can be obtained at the same time
V. Scholarship Criteria, Content and Payment
(I) Agreement Scholarship
1. Subsidy standard: 40,000 yuan/student/year for junior college students, for 3 years; for advanced students/exchange students, 2,000 yuan/student/month for 1-12 months.
2. Content
Tuition refers to the expenses related to teaching, internship, practice, cultural experience, cultural and sports activities of international students according to the teaching plan. It is used by thecollegein a coordinate manner. Among them, thecollege’s funds for organizing scholarship students’public welfare activities, cultural experience, social practice, cultural and sports activities shall not be less than 10% of the total tuition fee.
The accommodation feesrefer to the accommodation expenses subsidized for international students. International students are provided with accommodation by the scholarship institution, and the accommodation fee is used by thecollegein a coordinate manner.
Basic living expenses refer to the subsidy for daily living expenses for international students, 15,000 yuan/student/year for junior college students and undergraduate students. The scholarship will be awarded twice a year by thecollegeaccording to the assessment of scholarship students.
Comprehensive medical insurance refers to the group comprehensive medical insurance purchased for international students. It is purchased by the institute.
3.Payment: in the academic year, according to the award standard or the agreed amount in the agreement, the scholarship will beawardedtwice a year.
(II) Outstanding Student Scholarship
1. Funding standard: 10,000 yuan/student for junior college students; 18,000 yuan/student for undergraduate students.
2. Funding content: one or several items of the agreement scholarship.
3.Payment: it will be distributed to the award-winning students at one time according to the award standard.
(III) Special Scholarship
The funding standards and content ofSpecialScholarship are determined according to the requirements of each special work, and will be allocated to scholarshipschools according to funding standards, and the scholarshipschools will determine to use them as a whole or distribute them to the project students according to the project requirements.
