The School of International Education and the Security Officeof the Institutejointly carried out a fire drill for Chinese and foreign students on June 12, 2022 in order to ensure fire safety on campus and enhance the awareness and skills of international students infighting fires.
Firewardenintroduced in details the process of fire drill to students at the beginning and explained the use of fire extinguishers, fire blankets and other fire equipmentas well asgeneral instructions. Afterfire warden’sdemonstration of fire fighting, allChinese and foreignstudents were divided into three groups tostart practice. Thanks to professional fire fighters’ guidance and correctionoffire fighting methods, thefire drilllived up to our expectationsasteachers and students present mastered skills and use of fire equipment.
This activity strengthens enthusiasm of students to learn safety knowledge. Itimproves safety awareness and emergency self-rescue and escape ability of international students, layingasolid foundation for preventing accidents confronting students.
